Simple examples
Go to your Kindle's Homepage.
Start typing numbers and the search bar pops up. Example, type 456*21 press enter and in a few moments, your answer appears!
It also also recognizes mathematical constants, such as e and pi. So if you want to find the area of a circle, pi(r2) and you know r=4, you would type it as pi*4^2
Other functions include:
- Elementary mathematics: plus, minus, multiplication, division, power (^) and square root (sqrt)
- Parenthesis/ bracketing
- Trigonometry: sin, cos, tan
- Division by zero = infinity (∞)
- Simple logarithhms [I tested ln(e^5) = 5]
There are times when you get more than just the answer though! Below I did a simple 2+4 so it brings up book results containing similar answers (such as 2:4 in the Bible)
Alternatively, you can open up your Web Browser (Menu >Experimental > Web Browser) and go to the google homepage. Type in your equation, and up pops an answer.
